The District SuperChamps events are held to find the strongest club in each grade within our district. Teams consist of five players of the same gender and grade (B, C, D, E, and F/J) from the same club. Clubs in our district compete to become the District Champion in each grade. The winning teams then go on to represent Central Squash at the National SuperChamps finals, competing for the national title.

2025 Superchamps Info
Squash NZ has made considerable updates to the rules. Please read the below prior to submitting teams to ensure you have met the eligability requirments. Teams looking to enter under the new composite team rules will need to submit a Composite team form to the district by 20th June 2025.
Superchamps Information
- Composite teams are made up from two clubs who do not have enough eligible members to form their own team within their club
- If two clubs joining cannot make up the numbers for a full team, an extra member may be used from another neighboring club. As long as that player is not brought in as a #1 or #2 in the team. (There is some discretion on this as to what level the person is, ie. High D1 as opposed to a low D1. – If in doubt send an email through and we can clarify. captain@squashcentral.co.nz
- Clubs may combine within their zones only. ie. Taranaki, Ruapehu, Manawatu.
- Composite teams do not need to transfer their players to the same club, they remain on their own clubs grading list.
- Composite forms must be filled in when:
- Two or more clubs are combining
- When two or more new members are transferring to the team’s home club
- Single player transfers need only to fill in the composite form that relates to their club giving permission and advising reason for transfer.
