Kawaroa Park in New Plymouth was this year’s host for the Central Open, an event that was well supported by players from across the country.

The Central Open was sponsored by Janes Gallery and also doubled as a HEAD PSA tournament, the second to last event in the series, so the event attracted a wide field of A grade players across the both the men’s and women’s divisions. The overall number of entries totaled 134 players across 13 divisions. The platform also provided a treat for all players and spectators to see some close matches across the weekend with some excellent squash being showcased over the weekend.

A special congratulations to Tom Marshall who defeated Maximus Mathews in the final for the Men’s Open ,11/4, 8/11, 11/8, 11/9. Jena Gregory defeated Emma Merson in the Women’s Open final, 15/13, 11/4, 11/7.

Tom and Jena now, get to be a part of Central Open history having their names engraved on the Central trophies for 2026. Congratulations Tom and Jena.

Congratulations to all our players, finalists and division winners who contributed to a great weekend of squash. See below for a full list of winners from the Central Open weekend.
