Join us as we celebrate 60 years of Squash Central with a special weekend recognising our history, community, and achievements. The programme includes, a fun doubles tournament, live music, guest speakers, district awards, and most importantly an opportunity to connect with your squash family & friends, past and present.
Weekend Schedule
Friday 21st November:
The Jubilee weekend begins on Friday evening with a doubles competition at the centrally located Whanganui Squash Club. To register for the doubles, jump on MySquash, or if you aren’t on the grading list currently but want to get involved email wgisquashevents@gmail.com with you and your partners names and approximate grades. All abilities welcome!
Saturday 22nd November:

| 4.45pm – 5.45pm | On conclusion of the doubles there will be a courtesy van/ vehicle available to transport dinner attendee’s from the Whanganui Squash Club to the Heritage House |
| 5 – 6pm | Doors open for Jubilee evening at the Heritage House, Whanganui |
| 6 – 9pm, | Live music, award presentations, dinner, dessert & guest speakers (including Dame Susan Devoy) |
| 9.30pm – late | After party at the Whanganui Squash Club, (all welcome to attend) |
On conclusion of the dinner there will be a courtesy van/ vehicle available to transport attendee’s from the Heritage House back to the Whanganui Squash Club
Jubilee Dinner & Awards Evening
The main celebration event will take place on Saturday evening at the beautiful Heritage House in Whanganui.
Ticket Price:
- $80 per person
- $40 per person for award nominees (special reduced rate)
Tickets include;
- Drink on arrival,
- Live music,
- Dinner & Dessert by Devine catering,
- Awards presentation,
- Guest speakers (including Dame Susan Devoy)
- Optional transport between Whanganui Squash Club & Heritage House
Please be aware there will be NO door sales on the night, only pre-sales, which need to be registered no later than the 15th November 2025 (for catering purposes)
- 5.00pm – doors open with a welcome drink and grazing platters served in the foyer.
- 6.00pm – Awards presentations begin in the main ballroom
- 7.00pm – dinner will be served, followed by a guest speaker sharing the history of squash in Central.
- 8.00pm (approximately) – dessert will be served, at approximately followed by additional acknowledgements, such as Hall of Fame presentations.
- 8.15pm – Dame Susan Devoy will take the stage as our special guest speaker.
The formal programme will conclude at 9.00pm, after which guests are invited to return to the Whanganui Squash Club for the afterparty. Courtesy vans will be leaving Heritage House from 9.30pm to take people back to the Whanganui Squash Club

Tickets to the Jubilee Dinner & Awards Evening are available by pre-sale only.
Courtesy transport will be provided from Heritage House to the Whanganui Squash Club following the formal programme.
The after-party will be hosted at the Whanganui Squash Club.
